Overview

Cyclical Decorations and Associated Works to tenanted and leaseholder properties

Cyclical decorations programme including pre-paint repairs. Fire upgrade works to communal areas, repair and replacement of internal structures including fire doors and meter cupboards. External works includes; roofing, rainwater systems replacement and repair, window replacement, repair and replacement of external doors including bin stores and garages, fencing and landscape works.

The outcome

All of the works were carried out on a programme agreed with the Client and in consultation with the Residents. The procedure for agreeing the programme was broken down into a series of steps which were designed to deliver maximum value for money but causing minimum disruption to the lives of the residents.

The Community

Throughout the contract, we actively supported the Associations Community Development Agenda with the following initiatives:

• Supporting the back to work scheme by providing training and work experience places, particularly for the group of young people designated as
• Ensuring that any vacancies were advertised in areas specifically targeted at residents as well as through standard local outlets such as Jobcentre Plus.
• Supporting community initiatives with finance or resources (labour and material) to improve the lives of the community where we were working.
• Participating in outreach events including job fairs and open days.
• Making sure that our activities left a positive impression behind when we had finished work.
• Working on providing parks and leisure areas for children and families.
